Common Problem

Think about what is operation from the perspective of users

Release Date:2023-04-07Views:

Everyone's understanding of operations will be different. A large number of people in the operation group entered this circle "by mistake". Different projects, businesses, and different modules are responsible for different modules. The operation of 360 lines will produce 360 *N times operational understanding.

Just write about my personal understanding, the topic is about users, user value, and user operations.

01 What is a user
The explanation on Baidu is:

The so-called user is the person who uses the product
An end user refers to a person who uses a computer or network service, usually has a user account and is identified by a user name
Such a meaningless answer is obviously not the answer the operator wants.

02 Understanding of users
A user is an object, and these objects named users have different attributes and methods: attributes refer to labels such as (name, age, height, gender, etc.), and methods refer to user behaviors (possible and already made the behavior of).

So what is a user?

This question is essentially asking what defines a user, and the "user" at this time is defined by attributes and methods, and is a specific object that can exist in the objective world. In terms of object-oriented programming, this is an example of the object.

The properties and methods of the object are all the data of a user.

But what use do we know for improving user value in practice?

My favorite "Three-Body Problem" novel, the Dark Forest Theory is also derived from two self-evident axioms combined with human experience.

Operation also has the same axioms as in mathematical geometry (such as the shortest line segment between two points), namely:

Value = number of users * user value

Combining this formula with my personal understanding of users, I have concluded four points:

Users have different attributes, and different attributes have different values
Users have different states, and different states have different values
Users have different behaviors, and different behaviors have different values
User value is directly proportional to usage time
